Why do I need a Trailer Toad?

The most common problem with towing with motor home is the overhang in the rear and they simply were not designed to carry the tongue weight of larger, heavier trailers.

The Trailer Toad will carry that tongue weight with none of the trailer tongue weight being transferred to the motor home. All you will have to do is pull the trailer and stop the trailer.

Q: My motorhome (or truck) is rated to be able to handle the tongue weight and gross weight of my trailer, why do I need a Trailer Toad?”
A: In almost every case the Trailer Toad prevents premature wear to the coach frame, rear cap structure, and floor.  Static tongue and trailer weight is not the issue with diesel pushers or one ton trucks but rather the constant “pounding” on the hitch/frame/body while going down our “less than smooth” highways.

The shocks used on Trailer Toads far exceed the static weight capacity and are what lead to cracked hitches, and worse, cracked frames. It’s not only a cost issue but a safety issue.

The 3500HD does not come with a Front Stabilizer Bar Kit. For added protection it, stabilizer bar kits are $149.95 option if ordered with a 3500HD.
